HAFþóR BJöRNSSON HAS FINALLY BROKEN EDDIE HALL'S DEAD LIFT WORLD RECORD
Till now Eddie "the beast" hall from the United Kingdom had held the world
record for dead lift at 500kg. He achieved this feat at the on July 16, 2016, at
the world deadlift championships in Leeds, England. This was the first time in
history that a human had lifted half a ton off the ground. In May 2020, Hafþór
Júlíus Björnsson lifted 501 kg, surpassing hall’s mark by 1 kg. This lift took
place in his gym under unofficial strongman conditions—not in a formal
competition. Despite being recognized by Guinness World Records and broadcast
under officiated setup, it is not considered an official competition world
record. Now finally the Game of Thrones star Icelandic Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson
aka "the mountain" has shut down all the argument and destroys the world record
by lifting a 505-kg (1,113.3-lb) deadlift at 2025 Eisenhart black competition.
He truly is the mountain. Surely this record is not going to be beaten any time
soon.
